Presbyopia is an eye condition that typically begins after the age of 40 and progresses with age. This condition makes it difficult to see nearby objects clearly, often causing individuals to hold reading materials or perform other close tasks at a distance. However, treatments for presbyopia are available.
The most common treatment method for presbyopia is glasses or contact lenses. These optical devices provide a clear view of nearby objects, offering a comfortable vision experience.
Monovision laser treatment is used to treat presbyopia by allowing one eye to focus on distant vision and the other eye to focus on near vision. This method enables a person to have clear vision at both distances.
In cases where presbyopia is present, cataract surgery or clear lens exchange surgery can also be a treatment option. During cataract surgery, the natural lens is removed and replaced with an artificial lens, which can correct presbyopia.
Another method used to correct presbyopia is inlay treatment. An inlay is a small lens piece placed inside the cornea, providing clear vision at near distances.
We conduct an eye examination to determine and apply the most suitable method for treating presbyopia. Since each individual’s eye structure and needs are different, it is best to proceed based on your preferences and our recommendations.
